Parking: There is NO PARKING at the race start in Jamestown. All athletes must use the shuttles from Newport or be dropped off at the designated athlete drop off locations.
Shuttles: Shuttles will run from the Newport Convention and Visitors Bureau in Downtown Newport to the race starting line in Jamestown beginning at 5:30 a.m.
Drop Off Location: Athletes wishing to be dropped off near the starting line coming from Newport will take the East Shore Rd exit just after the toll plaza and head north on East Shore Road until they arrive at the designated drop off location.
Athletes coming from the West Bay will take the first exit in Jamestown and follow signage to the designated drop-off location. NO PEDESTRIANS ARE ALLOWED TO EXIT THEIR VEHICLES ON Route 138.
Due to construction on the Pell Bridge, the Citizen's Bank Pell Bridge Run traffic pattern will be slightly different than at past events. Views will not be compromised and the experience will be very much the same! Runners and walkers will have their own lane, and State Police will alternate westbound and eastbound traffic over the bridge. Cars will also be escorted by State Police to monitor speed and keep runners and walkers safe.
Additional road closures are as follows:
East Shore Road - From 6:45 - 7:45 AM. East Shore Rd. will be closed between the intersection of Conanicus Avenue and the Rt. 138 on/off ramps.
Conanicus Avenue - From 6:45 - 7:45 AM. Conanicus Ave. will be closed from the Jamestown Golf Course north to the Rt. 138 on-ramp (Newport Pell Bridge).
Newport Pell Bridge
Motoring travel on the bridge will be reduced to a single lane. State Police detail will be on site to alternate westbound and eastbound travel from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.
Farewell Street - From 7:15 - 8:45 AM, Farewell Street will be closed through America's Cup Avenue
Van Zandt Avenue - Van Zandt Avenue at the corner of Farewell will also be closed to traffic. Expect delays using America's Cup and Farewell Street until 9:00 AM.
